Permissions for an app's business logic
Because hybrid landscapes are seen as the operating model of the future, it is necessary to develop monitoring strategies for this. What is important is an end-to-end view based on the process and not just an individual view of the systems, services or components involved. This supports the requirement of a company-wide interface function of the SAP basis.
In order to cope with the digital transformation in general, but also to cope with the changing demands on the SAP basis and its scope of responsibility, it is necessary to revise existing roles and define and establish new roles. These include the roles of the technology architect, new features of the Subject Matter Expert (SME), and the role of the Expert Team Lead in leading a group of experts. SAP Basis Management
SAP Basis administration is distinct from other roles such as ABAP developers and consultants who handle architecture. In many companies, the boundaries between administration and development are blurred. Admins may therefore also be involved in the planning and development of the system.
The default permissions to open and use a launchpad are the SAP_UI2_USER_700. The role for the administration is SAP_UI2_ADMIN_700. In the administration interface, the launchpad can be customised, so this permission should only be released to a few users for administration.
Use "Shortcut for SAP Systems" to accomplish many tasks in the SAP basis more easily and quickly.
After the query is executed, the roles that contain the requested transaction and are associated with the user are now displayed.
All of the above tasks have been part of SAP Basis Administration for decades.
