System monitoring and management tools
In the beginning, in our company the installation and management of the systems were dealt with by the functional consultants/consultants of the respective systems. The CRM consultant was responsible for the SAP CRM system, the SRM consultant for the SAP SRM, etc.

We set about creating detailed playbooks for all common scenarios - installations, portals, upgrades and migrations - and platforms. Today, hardly any consulting firm can do without them, but in my early days they gave us a decisive edge over the competition and earned us many satisfied customers.
Solution concepts basic operation: from taking over operational responsibility, 24/7 to support when needed (substitution, vacation replacement)
Every SAP system develops over many years. It grows and changes with the company. The more functions are mapped in it and the more data is stored, the greater the importance of and dependence on this central ERP system. There is no such thing as a standard SAP Basis solution. It is developed individually with reference to the company.

Hybrid clouds have long been the norm, even if this development has come about rather by accident. Most companies have chosen different cloud software offerings and integrated them accordingly, be it Workday for HCM, SalesForce for CRM, Marketo for marketing automation, Coupa for SRM or Vendavo for pricing. Many have also chosen SAP variants of these solutions with SuccessFactors, Cloud for Customer, Marketing Cloud, Ariba and CPQ.

For administrators, a useful product - "Shortcut for SAP Systems" - is available in the SAP basis area.

However, these sums can vary depending on the company and location.

Whereas batch processing used to be a mainframe domain, companies today usually have to control background processing in heterogeneous operating system environments and client-server applications.
