The presentation layer is based on the software components, collectively called "SAP GUI". This includes several possible implementation variants: for example, SAP GUI for HTML (Web GUI) and Web Dynpro for ABAP (WDA). Since the respective GUI depends entirely on the concrete application, the presentation layer looks very different in practice.
In the beginning, in our company the installation and management of the systems were dealt with by the functional consultants/consultants of the respective systems. The CRM consultant was responsible for the SAP CRM system, the SRM consultant for the SAP SRM, etc.
SAP System Analysis
In the default scenario, the support packages in the queue are fully loaded. Procedure To set the scenario you want, select Additions Settings. Select the desired scenario. Select Insert Support Package Queue. During the recording, you may get into the modification comparison (SPDD, SPAU). If you are playing with the default scenario, you must immediately perform the comparison of Dictionary objects (transaction SPDD), whereas when you compare Repository objects (transaction SPAU), you have the choice to skip it first and perform it later (modification comparison [page 22]). The mode is blocked while a Support Package is being introduced. To avoid repeated login, open a second mode before inserting the queue.
Today, there is a much wider choice, with our AIOps platform Avantra, code cleansing tools such as Panaya, test automation with HP Quality Center and IT service management with ServiceNow being just a few examples. The SAP software partner ecosystem is in good health.
Some missing SAP basic functions in the standard are supplied by the PC application "Shortcut for SAP Systems".
IMPORT_OBJECT_LIST In this step, the object lists for the support packages in the queue are fed into the system.
Basically, an SAP Basis administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, managing, maintaining and servicing all technical components of an SAP system landscape.
