LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT
What has changed in the past ten years and what can we expect in the next ten? How will they affect the requirements profile of SAP Basis experts and how can they adapt to them?
In addition to purely administrative tasks, SAP administrators are also responsible for communication. They cooperate with the company's internal support departments and work with them on ways to help users solve and avoid any problems and pitfalls when using SAP solutions. For internal purposes, the SAP administrator also prepares documentation and uses it to search for errors, the cause of which he or she tries to combat. If necessary, he or she communicates with decision-makers in the company in order to be able to implement improvements, adjustments and optimizations with regard to the SAP software.

Instead of data maintenance and application development, SAP Basis is more about providing and maintaining the software environment on which the data resides and is processed. Therefore, SAP Basis is an important core of any SAP infrastructure and is required in both previous versions such as R/3, as well as current versions such as S/4HANA 2021.
Configuration adjustments and parameter changes
The database layer is where all of a company's data is stored. In essence, it consists of a database management system (DBMS for short) and the data itself.

Significant changes have also been brought about by SAP's cloud strategy. For example, the latest products such as SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA are available entirely as cloud solutions.

With "Shortcut for SAP Systems" a tool is available that greatly facilitates some tasks in the SAP basis.

This can be called under Services.

Note that starting with SPAM/SAINT version 11, it is no longer possible to reset the queue after the DDIC_IMPORT step and following.
